Last Monday was a terrible day for Jasur. He woke up late because his alarm clock did not ring. He didn’t have time for breakfast, so he just drank a glass of water, put on his coat and ran to the bus stop. The bus was very crowded, and he stood near the door for the whole journey.

Jasur felt sick. He called the bus company, but a woman told him that nobody had found a wallet that morning. Then he called his bank and blocked his card. He was worried all day and couldn’t work well. His boss, Mrs Karimova, saw his face and asked what was wrong. She kindly lent him some money for lunch.

In the evening, Jasur came home tired and sad. His wife opened the door with a big smile. “Somebody called you,” she said. “A young student found your wallet on the bus. He saw your phone number on a small piece of paper inside it.” Jasur couldn’t believe it. He had forgotten that his wife always put that paper in his wallet.

The next day, Jasur met the student, whose name was Bekzod, at a cafe near the university. Bekzod gave him the wallet. Everything was inside: the money, the cards and the photo. Jasur wanted to give him some money as a thank-you, but Bekzod said no. “My father always says that good things come back to you,” he said with a smile.
Ertasi kuni Jasur ismi Bekzod bo‘lgan talaba bilan universitet yaqinidagi kafeda uchrashdi. Bekzod unga hamyonni berdi. Hamma narsa ichida edi: pul, kartalar va surat. Jasur unga minnatdorchilik sifatida bir oz pul bermoqchi bo‘ldi, lekin Bekzod rad etdi. “Otam doim yaxshilik o‘zingga qaytadi, deydi”, dedi u jilmayib.
So Jasur bought him a big lunch instead, and they talked for an hour. Bekzod studies engineering and wants to build bridges one day. Now they are good friends, and they meet for lunch once a month. And Jasur never forgets to check his alarm clock before he goes to bed.
