Describe an item of clothing that you have had for a long time.
You should say:
- what it is
- when and where you got it
- how often you wear it
and explain why you have kept it for so long.
Namuna javob
An item of clothing I’ve owned for an unusually long time is a dark green wool jacket that I bought about twelve years ago, in a small tailor’s shop in Tashkent, shortly after I started my first job. It wasn’t cheap by my standards at the time — it cost almost a third of my monthly salary — and I remember hesitating for a long time before buying it. The tailor, an elderly man who had trained in the Soviet era, adjusted it to fit me perfectly and told me that if I looked after it, it would last twenty years. I wear it regularly in autumn and spring, perhaps two or three times a week, and it’s been repaired twice — once to replace the lining and once to fix a pocket. I’ve kept it for several reasons. The most practical one is quality; the fabric and stitching are far better than most clothes I’ve bought since, so it simply hasn’t worn out. But there’s also an emotional attachment. It reminds me of an important moment in my life — becoming independent and earning my own money. Over the years it has accompanied me to job interviews, weddings and trips abroad, so it’s become almost a kind of personal archive. More broadly, it has influenced how I shop. It taught me that a well-made item, bought thoughtfully and repaired when needed, is often cheaper in the long run than several cheap ones that fall apart. In an era of fast fashion, I find that idea increasingly important, both financially and environmentally.
Buyum → sotib olish lahzasi (tafsil) → foydalanish va ta’mir → nega saqladim (sifat, xotira) → kengroq xulosa: ongli iste’mol.
3-qism: Muhokama
Band 7–8 uchun Part 3 da mavhum g‘oyalarni muhokama qilish, taxmin qilish, taqqoslash va nozik pozitsiya bildirish kutiladi.
-
Why has fast fashion become so popular?
Namuna javob
Low prices, constant novelty and social media, which encourages people not to be seen in the same outfit twice. Fast fashion brands have become extremely skilled at turning trends into products within weeks.
Sabablar.
-
Who is most responsible for the environmental impact of fashion — companies or consumers?
Namuna javob
Companies have the greater responsibility, because they design products and supply chains. Consumers can influence change, but expecting individuals to solve a structural problem through shopping choices alone is unrealistic.
Tizimli.
-
How can people tell if a brand is genuinely sustainable?
Namuna javob
Look for independent certifications, transparency about factories and materials, and be wary of vague claims like “eco-friendly” without evidence — that’s often greenwashing.
Mezonlar.
-
Will clothing repair and second-hand shopping become mainstream?
Namuna javob
They’re already growing, especially among young people, driven by cost and environmental concerns. Whether they become mainstream depends on making them convenient and fashionable.
Shartli trend.
