Seven Days in Khiva
I’ve been to many places, but nothing compares to the week I spent in Khiva last spring. It was my first trip without my parents.
Khiva is an ancient city in the west of Uzbekistan, and walking through its old streets feels like travelling back in time.
What made it special was the people. Our guest house owner invited us to his son’s wedding, and we danced until midnight with hundreds of strangers! I’ll never forget it.
I’d definitely recommend Khiva, especially in spring when it isn’t too hot.
