While I was walking along the beach, I saw a bottle with a message inside. I pulled out the paper carefully.
It said: “My name is Elena. I’m eleven and I live in Greece. If you find this, please write to me!” There was an email address at the bottom.
I couldn’t believe it, because the bottle had travelled across the whole sea. That evening, I wrote to Elena and told her where I had found it.
She replied the next day, and we’ve been friends ever since. Last summer, I finally visited her in Athens!
