It was the most important day of my life. After a year of training, I was finally in the national chess final.
My opponent was a champion from Tashkent, and at first everything went wrong. I lost a piece early, and my hands were shaking.
Then I remembered what my coach always said: “Be patient. Wait for one mistake.” So I played slowly and carefully. After two hours, my opponent finally made a small error.
In the end, I won the game and the gold medal! My parents were crying with happiness in the audience.
