I had never seen the man before, but he knew my name. “Hello, Bobur,” he said with a warm smile, as I came out of school.
I felt nervous and stepped back. “How do you know me?” I asked. He took out an old photo of a little boy on a man’s shoulders.
It turned out that he was my father’s best friend from university. He had lived in Canada for fifteen years, and he had carried me on his shoulders when I was a baby.
That evening, he came to our house, and my dad hugged him for a long time. Now he visits us every summer.
