“Inside Out 2” — A Film for Everyone
If you think cartoons are only for children, “Inside Out 2” will change your mind.
The film follows Riley, a thirteen-year-old girl who is starting high school. Inside her head, her familiar emotions — Joy, Sadness and Anger — suddenly have to share space with new ones, including Anxiety. The story shows how Riley deals with the pressure of trying to fit in with new friends.
What impressed me most was how honestly the film shows anxiety. Many scenes felt very real, especially the one where Riley cannot sleep before an important game. At the same time, the film is extremely funny, and the animation is stunning.
The only drawback is that the middle part feels a little slow.
However, I would highly recommend it to teenagers and parents alike. It’s entertaining, but it will also make you think about your own feelings.
