Dear Mr and Mrs Wilson,
I’ve been back home for two weeks now, but I still think about my time with you every day. I just wanted to say a huge thank you for making me feel so welcome. You treated me like a member of your own family, and I’ll never forget your kindness. Thank you, too, for all the trips you took me on at weekends.
I enjoyed so many things, but my favourite memories are our Sunday walks along the coast and Mrs Wilson’s amazing apple pie. I also loved helping Tom with his football training — please tell him I’m still practising!
I would love to return your hospitality. If you ever decide to visit Uzbekistan, you would be very welcome to stay with my family in Tashkent. My mother has already promised to cook you a traditional plov, and I could show you around Samarkand and Bukhara.
With love and best wishes,
Kamola
