Describe a time when you had to wait a long time for something.
You should say:
- what you were waiting for
- how long you waited
- what you did while waiting
and explain how you felt while you were waiting.
Namuna javob
The longest and most nerve-racking wait I’ve experienced was for my university entrance exam results, about six years ago. In Uzbekistan, the results are released online, and they decide which university and course you get into, so the pressure was enormous. I took the exam in early August, and the results weren’t due for about three weeks. To make matters worse, the official date was postponed twice because of technical issues, so it ended up being nearly a month. During that time, I tried to keep myself busy. I helped my father at his shop, went hiking with friends and even started learning to play the guitar, mainly as a distraction. But no matter what I did, the results were always at the back of my mind. I kept replaying the exam in my head, worrying about questions I thought I’d got wrong. Emotionally, it was like a roller coaster — some days I felt quietly confident, and others I was convinced I’d failed completely. When the results finally came out, at midnight, the whole family crowded around my laptop. I’d passed with a high score, and the relief was indescribable. Looking back, the waiting was almost worse than the exam itself.

3-qism: Muhokama
Part 3 da imtihonchi mavzuni umumlashtirib, jamiyat darajasidagi savollar beradi. Fikr + sabab + misol + (ixtiyoriy) qarshi fikr.
-
Are people less patient than they used to be?
Namuna javob
I think so, largely because technology has given us instant access to almost everything. When you’re used to fast delivery and streaming, waiting feels unbearable.
Sabab.
-
How can organisations reduce waiting times?
Namuna javob
By using online booking systems, employing more staff at peak times and giving people accurate information about how long they’ll wait. Uncertainty is often more frustrating than the wait itself.
Choralar + insight.
-
Is patience an important quality?
Namuna javob
Very important. Many worthwhile goals — learning a language, building a career — take years, and impatient people often give up too early.
Misol.
-
Should children be taught to wait for things?
Namuna javob
Yes. Learning to delay gratification is linked to self-control and success later in life, so it’s a valuable lesson.
Dalil.
