Describe a situation where cooperation achieved more than competition would have.
You should say:
- what the situation was
- who was involved
- how people cooperated
and explain why cooperation was more effective.
Namuna javob
A situation that illustrates this well happened in my neighbourhood market about three years ago. There were five small bakeries along the same street, all selling traditional bread and competing fiercely — undercutting each other’s prices, sometimes even spreading rumours about each other’s hygiene. Then a large supermarket opened nearby with its own bakery, offering cheaper bread and longer opening hours. Within a few months, two of the five bakeries were close to closing. Instead of continuing to fight each other, the owners — prompted by the oldest baker, a well-respected man called Ismoil aka — met and agreed to cooperate. They decided to specialise rather than all sell the same products: one focused on traditional tandir non, another on samsa, another on sweet pastries, and so on. They also pooled money to buy flour in bulk at a lower price, shared a delivery driver, and created a joint Instagram page promoting the street as a “bakers’ lane”. The results were remarkable. Within a year, all five bakeries were not only surviving but busier than before, and the street had become a small destination for food lovers. I think cooperation was more effective for several reasons. Firstly, competition between them was essentially zero-sum — they were fighting over the same limited customers — whereas cooperation allowed them to grow the market together. Secondly, pooling resources gave them economies of scale they couldn’t achieve individually. And finally, it created a distinctive identity that a supermarket couldn’t replicate. It taught me that competitors can sometimes be your most valuable allies when facing a bigger threat.
Raqobat holati → tashqi tahdid → hamkorlik shakllari (ixtisoslashuv, birgalikdagi xarid, brend) → natija → tahlil (zero-sum, masshtab, o‘ziga xoslik).
3-qism: Muhokama
Band 7–8 uchun Part 3 da mavhum g‘oyalarni muhokama qilish, taxmin qilish, taqqoslash va nozik pozitsiya bildirish kutiladi.
-
Is competition good for the economy?
Namuna javob
Generally, yes — it drives innovation, efficiency and lower prices. But unregulated competition can lead to monopolies, which ironically eliminate competition, so strong regulation is needed to keep markets genuinely competitive.
Paradoks.
-
Should schools emphasise cooperation over competition?
Namuna javob
I’d argue for a balance weighted towards cooperation. Most real-world problems require teamwork, and excessive competition can damage motivation and mental health.
Muvozanat.
-
Can countries cooperate effectively on global problems?
Namuna javob
It’s difficult because of conflicting national interests, but there are successes, like the agreement that repaired the ozone layer. These show cooperation is possible when the threat is clear and solutions are shared fairly.
Tarixiy misol.
-
Does social media encourage competition between people?
Namuna javob
In a subtle way, yes — likes and followers turn social life into a kind of constant competition for attention, which can be harmful.
