This photo shows a community garden in the middle of a city. It’s surrounded by tall apartment buildings. The garden is divided into small beds with tomatoes, lettuce, beans and flowers. Several people of different ages are working there. An older man is digging with a spade, a young woman is watering plants, and two children are picking tomatoes and putting them in a basket. Everyone looks busy and happy. I think gardens like this are important because they give city people a chance to grow food, spend time outside and meet their neighbours.
