Describe a person who left a positive legacy in your community.
You should say:
- who the person was
- what he or she did
- how people remember him or her
and explain why his or her legacy is important.
Namuna javob
A person who left a lasting legacy in my community was a man called Abdulla domla, who taught literature at the school in my district for almost forty years and passed away about five years ago. Physically, he was a small, quiet man, but he had an enormous impact. Beyond his lessons, which former students still describe as unforgettable, he did two things that shaped the neighbourhood. Firstly, in the difficult years of the 1990s, when many families couldn’t afford books, he turned two rooms of his own house into a free lending library, stocked with his personal collection and donations he persuaded people to give. Children came every evening, and he would often read aloud to those who struggled. Secondly, he ran a weekly poetry evening in the mahalla tea house, which brought together people of all ages, from teenagers to grandfathers. People remember him in several ways. The library still exists — after his death, residents raised money to move it to a proper building, which now carries his name. Every year on his birthday, his former students organise a poetry reading. And many people from the district, including doctors, engineers and writers, credit him with giving them their love of learning. I think his legacy is important because it shows that you don’t need wealth or a prominent position to change a community. He achieved it through consistent, generous effort over decades. It’s also a reminder that the most enduring legacies are often those that continue to grow without us — he planted something that others have kept alive and expanded. Personally, I find that more inspiring than any monument.

3-qism: Muhokama
Band 7–8 uchun Part 3 da mavhum g‘oyalarni muhokama qilish, taxmin qilish, taqqoslash va nozik pozitsiya bildirish kutiladi.
-
Why do people want to leave a legacy?
Namuna javob
Partly from a desire for meaning — the sense that our lives mattered beyond ourselves. There’s also a natural wish to protect and help future generations, especially our own children.
Psixologik.
-
Is it more important to leave money or values to the next generation?
Namuna javob
Values, I’d argue, because money can be lost quickly, whereas values shape how people use whatever resources they have. Ideally, of course, both.
Pozitsiya.
-
Do ordinary people leave legacies, or only famous ones?
Namuna javob
Ordinary people leave the most widespread legacies — through how they raise children, teach students or treat neighbours. Famous legacies are simply more visible.
Qayta ramkalash.
-
What responsibility does our generation have to future generations?
Namuna javob
Above all, to avoid leaving problems we could have solved — particularly climate change and public debt — and to invest in education and institutions that will outlast us.
Mas’uliyat.
