Did university prepare you well for work?
Namuna javob
Intellectually, yes; practically, much less — I learned most job skills in my first year of work.
Farqlash.
-
Do you prefer learning from books or from experience?
Namuna javob
Experience teaches more deeply, but books help me make sense of it.

Describe a change you would like to see in the education system of your country.
You should say:
- what the change is
- who it would affect
- how it could be introduced
and explain why you think this change is important.
Namuna javob
A change I’d very much like to see in Uzbekistan’s education system is a much stronger emphasis on critical thinking and project-based learning in secondary schools, rather than the heavy focus on memorisation and test preparation that still dominates. At the moment, many students spend their final years preparing intensively for university entrance tests, which largely reward recalling facts and solving standard problems quickly. This change would affect students most directly, but also teachers, who would need new skills, and universities and employers, who would ultimately receive graduates with different abilities. It could be introduced gradually. A sensible first step would be piloting it in a number of schools, perhaps one subject at a time, where students work on extended projects — investigating a local environmental issue, for example, or designing a small business plan — and are assessed on their reasoning, research and presentation, not just final answers. Teacher training would be essential; many teachers would need support and time to adapt their methods. Entrance exams would also need to evolve, otherwise schools would continue teaching to the test. I believe this change is important for several reasons. Most fundamentally, the world our students will work in is changing so rapidly that the specific facts they memorise may soon be outdated, whereas the ability to analyse problems, evaluate information and collaborate will remain valuable. Employers already complain that graduates struggle with these skills. There’s also a democratic dimension: citizens who can question information critically are better equipped to resist misinformation. Of course, rigour and knowledge remain important; the aim isn’t to abandon them, but to build thinking skills on top of them.
O‘zgarish → hozirgi holat → ta’sir doirasi → bosqichma-bosqich joriy etish (pilot, o‘qituvchi, imtihon) → sabablar (kelajak, ish beruvchi, demokratiya) → muvozanatli ogohlantirish.
3-qism: Muhokama
Band 7–8 uchun Part 3 da mavhum g‘oyalarni muhokama qilish, taxmin qilish, taqqoslash va nozik pozitsiya bildirish kutiladi.
-
Will traditional universities still be relevant in twenty years?
Namuna javob
I think so, but their role will evolve. They’ll remain important for research, deep learning and building networks, while competing with flexible online and industry-based alternatives for practical skills.
Evolyutsiya.
-
Should education be primarily about preparing people for jobs?
Namuna javob
Employability matters, but education also shapes citizens and helps people live fulfilling lives. Reducing it purely to job training risks producing people who can work but not think critically.
Ko‘p maqsadlilik.
-
Is it fair that some people can afford better education than others?
Namuna javob
It’s one of the main drivers of inequality. Public investment in high-quality schools, especially in poorer regions, is essential to keep opportunity from depending on family income.
Adolat.
-
How will artificial intelligence change the way students learn?
Namuna javob
It could provide personalised tutoring at scale, which is exciting. But it also risks students outsourcing thinking, so teachers will need to focus more on reasoning and less on tasks AI can easily do.
Imkoniyat + xavf.
