1 daqiqa tayyorlanasiz, keyin 2 daqiqa gapirasiz. Band 7+ uchun hikoya tuzilishi aniq, lug‘at nozik va gaplar xilma-xil bo‘lishi kerak.
Describe a risk you took that turned out well.
You should say:
- what the risk was
- when you took it
- why you decided to take it
and explain how things turned out.
Namuna javob
A risk that ultimately paid off was my decision, about five years ago, to turn down a secure position at a large state bank and instead join a small fintech startup that had only twelve employees. On paper, it made little sense: the bank offered a higher salary, a pension and enormous job security, while the startup could barely guarantee it would exist in a year, and part of my pay was in company shares that might be worthless. My parents were frankly alarmed. I decided to take it for a combination of reasons. Firstly, I was in my mid-twenties, without a mortgage or children, so the downside, while real, was manageable; if it failed, I could still find a conventional job. Secondly, during the interview, I was struck by how much responsibility I’d be given immediately — I’d be designing products, not just processing paperwork. And thirdly, I had a strong instinct that the team was exceptional; the founders were honest about the risks, which paradoxically made me trust them more. The first two years were intense and often stressful. We nearly ran out of money twice, and I worked longer hours than I ever would have at the bank. But the company eventually secured major investment and has grown to over three hundred people. I now lead a product team, and the skills I developed would have taken a decade to acquire in a traditional organisation. Looking back, what I value most isn’t the financial outcome, but the confidence it gave me to make bold decisions — though I’m careful to remember that luck played its part too.
Xavf → nega mantiqsiz tuyuldi → qaror sabablari (vaziyat, imkoniyat, instinkt) → qiyinchiliklar → natija → muvozanatli saboq (omad roli).
3-qism: Muhokama
Band 7–8 uchun Part 3 da mavhum g‘oyalarni muhokama qilish, taxmin qilish, taqqoslash va nozik pozitsiya bildirish kutiladi.
-
Are young people more willing to take risks than older people?
Namuna javob
Generally, yes, partly because they have fewer responsibilities and partly because, psychologically, the brain’s risk-assessment systems mature relatively late. Older people also have more to lose.
Ikki sabab.
-
Should children be allowed to take risks?
Namuna javob
Within reason, I believe they should. Overprotection can deprive children of the chance to learn judgement and resilience — a scraped knee from climbing a tree teaches a lot.
Pozitsiya.
-
Why are people often poor at judging risk?
Namuna javob
We overestimate dramatic, vivid risks like plane crashes and underestimate familiar ones like car journeys or poor diet. Media coverage reinforces this distortion.
Kognitiv tahlil.
-
Is society becoming too cautious?
Namuna javob
In some areas, arguably, yes — fear of litigation can lead to excessive regulation. But in others, like environmental protection, more caution would be welcome.
Sohaga qarab.
