Last week, I did an experiment: I put my smartphone in a drawer for seven days. I used only an old phone for calls. My friends thought I was crazy.
O‘tgan hafta tajriba o‘tkazdim: smartfonimni yetti kunga tortmaga soldim. Faqat qo‘ng‘iroq uchun eski telefondan foydalandim. Do‘stlarim meni aqldan ozgan deb o‘ylashdi.
The first two days were difficult. I picked up my old phone many times to check messages, but of course there was nothing. I felt bored on the bus.
Birinchi ikki kun qiyin bo‘ldi. Xabarlarni tekshirish uchun eski telefonimni ko‘p marta qo‘limga oldim, lekin, albatta, hech narsa yo‘q edi. Avtobusda zerikdim.
But then things changed. I read two books, I slept better, and I talked more with my family at dinner. I also noticed that I didn’t miss most of the online news.
Lekin keyin vaziyat o‘zgardi. Ikkita kitob o‘qidim, yaxshiroq uxladim va kechki ovqatda oilam bilan ko‘proq gaplashdim. Shuningdek, onlayn yangiliklarning aksariyatini sog‘inmaganimni sezdim.
Now I use my smartphone again, but I have a new rule: no phone in the bedroom.
Endi yana smartfondan foydalanaman, lekin yangi qoidam bor: yotoqxonada telefon yo‘q.
The funniest moment was on Wednesday. I wanted to meet a friend in the city centre, but I couldn’t check the map on my phone. I had to ask people for directions, like my grandparents did. I got lost twice, but I found a lovely little bookshop that I never knew about.
Eng kulgili lahza chorshanba kuni bo‘ldi. Shahar markazida do‘stim bilan uchrashmoqchi edim, lekin telefonda xaritani ko‘ra olmasdim. Bobo-buvilarim kabi odamlardan yo‘l so‘rashimga to‘g‘ri keldi. Ikki marta adashdim, lekin ilgari bilmagan chiroyli kichkina kitob do‘konini topdim.
My family noticed the difference too. My mother said I was calmer and more patient. My younger sister was surprised when I offered to play a board game with her. We played three times, and she won every time.
Oilam ham farqni sezdi. Onam men xotirjamroq va sabrliroq bo‘lganimni aytdi. Singlim men unga stol o‘yini o‘ynashni taklif qilganimda hayron bo‘ldi. Uch marta o‘ynadik va u har safar yutdi.
Tushundingizmi?
