Samarkand is one of the oldest cities in Central Asia. It is more than 2,700 years old. For centuries, it was an important stop on the Silk Road between China and Europe.
Samarqand Markaziy Osiyodagi eng qadimgi shaharlardan biri. U 2 700 yildan ortiq tarixga ega. Asrlar davomida Xitoy va Yevropa o‘rtasidagi Ipak yo‘lida muhim bekat bo‘lgan.
The most famous place is the Registan, a square with three beautiful madrasas. In the evening, there is often a light show. Another place you must see is Shah-i-Zinda, a street of blue tombs.
Eng mashhur joy — uchta go‘zal madrasali Registon maydoni. Kechqurun u yerda ko‘pincha chiroqlar shousi bo‘ladi. Albatta ko‘rishingiz kerak bo‘lgan yana bir joy — ko‘k maqbaralar ko‘chasi Shohizinda.
The best time to visit is April, May, September or October. The fast train from Tashkent takes about two hours. Don’t forget to try Samarkand bread; people say it stays fresh for weeks!
Tashrif buyurish uchun eng yaxshi vaqt — aprel, may, sentabr yoki oktabr. Toshkentdan tezyurar poyezd taxminan ikki soat yuradi. Samarqand nonini tatib ko‘rishni unutmang; aytishlaricha, u haftalab yangi turadi!
Not far from the Registan is the Siyob Bazaar, the city’s biggest market. Here you can buy dried fruit, nuts, spices and the famous round bread. Traders are friendly and often let you taste before you buy. Don’t be afraid to bargain; it is part of the fun.
Registondan uncha uzoq bo‘lmagan joyda shaharning eng katta bozori — Siyob bozori joylashgan. Bu yerda quritilgan meva, yong‘oq, ziravorlar va mashhur dumaloq nonni sotib olishingiz mumkin. Sotuvchilar samimiy va ko‘pincha sotib olishdan oldin tatib ko‘rishga ruxsat berishadi. Savdolashishdan qo‘rqmang, bu qiziqishning bir qismi.
If you have an extra day, visit the Ulugh Beg Observatory on a hill outside the centre. In the fifteenth century, the ruler and scientist Ulugh Beg studied the stars here. Only part of his giant instrument remains, but the small museum next to it tells his fascinating story.
Agar qo‘shimcha kuningiz bo‘lsa, markazdan tashqaridagi tepalikda joylashgan Ulug‘bek rasadxonasiga boring. XV asrda hukmdor va olim Ulug‘bek bu yerda yulduzlarni o‘rgangan. Uning ulkan asbobidan faqat bir qismi saqlanib qolgan, lekin yonidagi kichik muzey uning qiziqarli hikoyasini so‘zlab beradi.
