Until last year, Bekzod couldn’t cook anything except eggs. He lived with his parents, and his mother always cooked for the family.
O‘tgan yilgacha Bekzod tuxumdan boshqa hech narsa pishira olmasdi. U ota-onasi bilan yashardi va oila uchun doim onasi ovqat pishirardi.
When he moved to another city for work, he ate fast food every day. After three months, he felt tired and put on eight kilos. He decided to change.
Ish uchun boshqa shaharga ko‘chganida, har kuni fastfud yedi. Uch oydan keyin u o‘zini charchagan his qildi va sakkiz kilo semirdi. U o‘zgarishga qaror qildi.
First, he watched simple video recipes. Then he called his mother and asked for her recipes. He made a lot of mistakes: he burnt rice and put too much salt in soup.
Avval u oddiy video retseptlarni ko‘rdi. Keyin onasiga qo‘ng‘iroq qilib, uning retseptlarini so‘radi. U ko‘p xato qildi: guruchni kuydirdi, sho‘rvaga juda ko‘p tuz soldi.
Now Bekzod cooks five days a week. He saves money, feels healthier, and his plov is almost as good as his mother’s.
Endi Bekzod haftasiga besh kun ovqat pishiradi. Pul tejaydi, o‘zini sog‘lomroq his qiladi, palovi esa onasinikidek deyarli yaxshi.
His colleagues noticed the change too. Now Bekzod brings his own lunch to work in a small box: rice with vegetables, soup or salad. At first, they laughed at him, but now some of them ask for his recipes. On Fridays, he sometimes cooks for the whole office.
Hamkasblari ham o‘zgarishni payqashdi. Endi Bekzod ishga tushligini kichik qutida o‘zi olib keladi: sabzavotli guruch, sho‘rva yoki salat. Avvaliga ular uning ustidan kulishdi, lekin endi ba’zilari undan retseptlarini so‘rashadi. Juma kunlari u ba’zan butun ofis uchun ovqat pishiradi.
When his mother visited him last month, Bekzod cooked dinner for her. She tasted his plov in silence. Then she smiled and said, “It needs a little more cumin.” Bekzod laughed. He knew that was the best compliment his mother could give.
O‘tgan oy onasi uning oldiga kelganda, Bekzod unga kechki ovqat tayyorladi. Onasi palovni jimgina tatib ko‘rdi. Keyin jilmayib: “Biroz ko‘proq zira kerak”, dedi. Bekzod kuldi. U bu onasi bera oladigan eng yaxshi maqtov ekanini bilardi.
