My husband and I stayed at the Mountain View Guesthouse for three nights in August. It’s a small family business in a village about two hours from the city, with only six rooms. We found it on a travel website, where it had very good reviews.

The location is beautiful. From our balcony, we could see the mountains and a river. The air was fresh and cool, which was perfect after the heat of the city. The room was simple but very clean, and the bed was comfortable.

The best thing was the food. The owner’s wife cooked breakfast and dinner every day using vegetables from her garden. We especially loved her fresh bread and apricot jam. The owner, Bahodir, was very friendly and organised a horse ride for us to a waterfall.

There were a few small problems. The Wi-Fi only worked in the dining room, and the hot water sometimes stopped in the evening. Also, the road to the village is narrow and bumpy, so drive carefully. But overall, we had a wonderful, relaxing stay. I give it four and a half stars.
