It was a beautiful summer. The sun was warm and the fields were full of food. A grasshopper spent every day singing and dancing in the grass. “Life is wonderful!” he said.

But summer ended, and autumn came. Then winter arrived with cold winds and snow. There was no food in the fields. The grasshopper was hungry and cold. He went to the ant’s home and knocked on the door.
Lekin yoz tugadi va kuz keldi. Keyin sovuq shamollar va qor bilan qish yetib keldi. Dalalarda ovqat qolmadi. Chigirtka och va sovqotgan edi. U chumolining uyiga borib, eshikni taqillatdi.
“Please give me some food,” he said. The ant was kind, so she gave him some corn. But she said, “Next summer, remember: there is a time for work and a time for play.”
