Describe a time when you had to work or study under a lot of pressure.
You should say:
- what you had to do
- why there was so much pressure
- how you managed
and explain what you learned about working under pressure.
Namuna javob
A period of intense pressure was the final two months of my master’s degree, about four years ago. I had to complete a dissertation of around fifteen thousand words, while also working part-time and preparing for job interviews. The pressure came from several directions at once. The deadline was fixed and non-negotiable; I needed a strong grade to keep a job offer that was conditional on my results; and, to make things worse, my original data set turned out to be incomplete, so I had to redesign part of my research with only six weeks left. For the first couple of weeks, I handled it badly. I worked until two or three in the morning, drank far too much coffee, and stopped exercising entirely. Ironically, my productivity fell; I would stare at the same paragraph for an hour. A conversation with my supervisor changed my approach. She pointed out that I was confusing hours with output. So I restructured my days: I worked in focused ninety-minute blocks in the morning, when my concentration was strongest, kept afternoons for reading and lighter tasks, and set a strict cut-off at ten in the evening. I also went running every other day, which felt like a waste of time at first but actually cleared my thinking. I finished the dissertation a few days early and received a distinction. The main lesson I learned is that rest isn’t the opposite of productivity — it’s a precondition for it. Under pressure, the instinct is to work longer, but the more effective response is usually to work smarter and protect sleep and health.
Vazifa → bosim manbalari → noto‘g‘ri yondashuv (ironiya) → burilish → yangi strategiya → natija → paradoksal saboq.
3-qism: Muhokama
Band 7–8 uchun Part 3 da mavhum g‘oyalarni muhokama qilish, taxmin qilish, taqqoslash va nozik pozitsiya bildirish kutiladi.
-
Do people today work too hard?
Namuna javob
In many professions, yes — partly because technology has erased the boundary between work and home. There’s also a cultural tendency to treat busyness as a status symbol, which isn’t necessarily linked to real productivity.
Sabablar.
-
Should a four-day working week become standard?
Namuna javob
Where evidence shows productivity can be maintained, it seems worth pursuing. But it’s much harder in sectors like healthcare or retail, so flexibility is more realistic than a single universal model.
Sohaga qarab.
-
Is it the employer’s responsibility to protect workers from burnout?
Namuna javob
Largely, yes. Employers control workloads, deadlines and culture. Individuals can set boundaries, but these are hard to maintain if the organisation rewards constant availability.
Mas’uliyat taqsimoti.
-
Has the meaning of success changed for younger generations?
Namuna javob
It seems to be shifting — many younger people place more weight on flexibility, purpose and mental health than on status or long hours.
Trend.
