Modal Verbs Overview

Barcha modal fe’llar

Bu darsda

Oddiy qilib aytganda

Modal fe’llar — yordamchi kuchlar: ular oddiy fe’lga “munosabat” qo‘shadi. Bir xil gapni modal fe’l bilan solishtiring:

  • I go.Boraman. (oddiy fakt)
  • I must go.Borishim shart. (zarurat)
  • I should go.Borishim kerak. (maslahat)
  • I can go.Bora olaman. (imkoniyat)
  • I might go.Balki boraman. (ehtimol)
  • I would go.Borardim. (shart, xayol)

Bitta modal fe’l bir nechta ma’no berishi mumkin: must — ham majburiyat, ham taxmin; can — ham qobiliyat, ham ruxsat. Shuning uchun so‘zni emas, maqsadni o‘rganing: “Men nima demoqchiman?” — keyin kerakli modalni tanlaysiz.

Bu dars — umumlashtiruvchi dars. Oldingi darslarda modal fe’llarni alohida o‘rgandik (can, must, should, may, might). Endi ularni ma’no bo‘yicha guruhlaymiz.
